  "description": "<p>The Scarab and its construct inhabitants are in a bind when their aberrant cargo escapes its prison and damages the engine on their underground journey from Vordan back to Thallendar. In need of more metal to create more golems to recapture the monster and fix the Scarab, the Curator sends out retrievants to acquire metal from the nearby village of Walsylor.</p> <p>The characters see these mechanical invaders and can follow their trail to an underground tunnel where they discover the hatch of a vehicle. As they make their way on the large ship, they will be contacted by the Curator, who will outline their mission. They must repair the Scarab and prevent the engine\u2019s impending magical explosion, which will destroy everything in the area, including Walsylor. Entering the engine room to prevent the blast will likely attract the attention of the escaped corrosive devourer, which the Curator demands they capture alive.</p> <p>Time is of the essence. The Scarab\u2019s engine will explode 2 hours after the initial attack on Walsylor. Throughout the adventure, various tasks will require time to complete. The DM should track the time spent by the characters and impose the urgency of resolving the situation once they board the Scarab. Not all tasks are mandatory, and the party can save time by splitting up tasks. The party will need to fix the vacuum prison, capture the corrosive devourer, and fix the engine before the upcoming explosion.</p>",
